Swinelett O'Hara
by Joffa Kerr
"Scarlett O'Hara would say 'fiddle
dee dee,' but visitors swoon with delight over our whimsical
bronze sow named Swinelett O'Hara," said Mrs.
Doty. Created by Wyoming artist Joffa Kerr, this plump
porcine is one of Na ‘Āina Kai's mascots. She smiles,
lounging in a bed of multi-colored flowers, alongside
the stream meandering through lush Forest Cove.

Heavy Thoughts
by John Skurja
Contemplating his garden universe
at the Na ‘Āina Kai Visitor Center, this affable
amphibian captures everyone’s imagination with
his “thinking” pose. “Arizona bronze
artist John Skurja likes to portray frogs with a whimsical
bit of humanness,” says Mrs. Doty.
