Shower Tree Park & Ka'ula Lagoon

Imagine stunning red hibiscus, ixora, blue marble trees, firecracker flowers, and shaggy barked fiddlewood trees with their fragrant, miniscule flowers and orange berries. These, and the billowing bouquets hanging from multi-colored shower trees, are but a few of the botanical delights that adorn this setting, straight out of a romantic storybook fantasy.

The freeform lagoon, lined here and there with blue pickerel rush and red-stemmed sagittaria, is home to iridescent koi, multicolored water lilies and native Hawaiian gallinules.

A cascading waterfall plunges into the lagoon, and graceful footbridges lead to a lovely palm tree shaded island.

A winding path ascends alongside the waterfall to an intimate Japanese tea house.

"Flight of the Tropic Birds", a dramatic fountain sculpture rising from the center of the lagoon, is among several nearby works of art.
